Why do Christians get the Truth fish eating the Darwin fish on their car?

Isn’t the bigger fish eating the smaller fish exactly the principle Darwinism is founded on? The bigger fish is more well adapted to survive in its environment and thus out competes the smaller Darwin fish and passes on its superior genes. Do they buy these ironically or something? I don’t get it.

  1. No irony at all. Big fish really do eat small fish. It doesn’t mean they gain the genes and “power” of the smaller fish, except through nutrition. This isn’t Highlander.

  3. Jesus Fish Eating Darwin Fish

  4. Have you seen the one called Reality? It’s a T-Rex eating a Jesus Fish.

  5. For one, the relationship of predator to prey is not exactly what you think it is. For passing on genes, you are trying to outcompete a species of the same niche, or others within your species. Not a predator when you are prey.

But it’s still stupid. I guarantee you there isn’t one person with that sticker who knows anything about evolution.

  6. Because as far as evidence it eats the darwin fish.

  7. No, I would buy it just to support the theory of evolution. Then again, I’m not Christian, I’m a Catholic, the most lenient supporters of team Jesus.

  8. I laugh at the total irony every time I see one of those.

And no, Creationists don’t get the irony. Just look at Makawao’s answer as proof.

  9. Honestly, I don’t think they even know their own minds. The people that have to advertise that they are “Christan” are usually “bornies” I don’t consider them to be Christians anyway. Just misguided.

  10. Never seen that one. and you make a valid point.
