  1. Bichon’s hair stains and and can turn yellowish it happened to mine(just her tail) and at first I only noticed it while bathing her. I suggest feeding him good quality food or a home cooked diet, filtered water (I bought a drinkwell) and comb him and brush him every day, do that and you will have a cute white pup. I also comb my girl while bathing her, it helps and her tail is white again.

  2. Yes, that is completely normal. That same thing happened with my mom’s white shih tzu. It goes back to normal when dry. Also, I don’t recommend bathing your dog too often, maybe once or twice a month. Dogs do have natural oils in their skin and coat that help them to stay helthy and if you wash that away it can effect them negatively.

Also, for bichons, I like to recommend Nutro Ultra Small Breed Puppy formula. That food is great for white dogs and helped to prevent the tear stains under my mom’s shih tzu’s eyes. Dogs also absolutely love that food.

    I hope that helps!

  3. Yes, that’s normal. If something is wet, no matter the color, it darkens.
