What is an monolithic sidewalk?

I was walking the other day I spot that sign. It looked weird. What is it.

  1. Hello!

The signs are meant to alert the snow plow driver “not to push the snow onto the sidewalk but leave it on the road, close to the curb. Sidewalks with the monolithic designation are considered too narrow to store snow pushed up onto them by plows.

  3. It means the sidewalk and curb are poured together, made of one blob of concrete.

No. Tithing is giving money to the church, much of which goes to the clergyman. If you see the benefit in giving money to a monolithic organization that has done nothing concrete for you, that’s your business, but it’s not paying it forward; it’s buying the illusion of salvation. Paying it forward is doing a good deed to someone because someone else did something kind for you. It’s like this insurance commercial where one person witnesses another performing a random act of kindness (like picking up a child’s toy that fell to the sidewalk) and goes on to help another person, and the person who witnesses that does a kind act for someone else. For example: someone holds an elevator door for you, so you give your seat on the train to someone who needs it more than you do. That is paying it forward.

A monolithic sidewalk is when the curb and sidewalk and poured
together in the same mould. Basically, the sidewalk is right beside
the road. There are other uses for monolithic too. Sometimes the
road and curb are poured in one continuous piece. There is a
machine that rolls along the ground then pours and moulds it as it
goes. There are also monolithic buildings. They’re made out of one
piece also. The reason for monolithic is for strength. It takes a
lot less time but more concrete is normally used. It shouldn’t
crack like a normal sidewalk for example. Hope that was
helpful.
