What does “Así… o más guapo?” mean?

I heard this at a mexican restaurant today. And I know it translates “Like this, or more handsome?”, but what does it mean? In what context is it used in?

I came to thinking it was used when a waitress realized a guy was checking her out, but then I thought it might be used to counteract picky customers. I just quit guessing and decided to ask here.

  1. Do you like this form or do yo want more handsome?

it´s a rhetoric expression, when somebody do good things like leave big tips, he-he. If you did that you are a good person for her, and she couldn´t ask for more.

It´s a good expression for you. Just say back……GRACIAS LINDA

  2. As you say, it could translate into “Like this, or more handsome?” However, it may also have been used in the context of “¿Así o más, Guapo?” (notice the placement of the comma), where the waitress was asking if the customer wanted something the way she offered it, or if he wanted more (in English, “like this or more, handsome?”)

It’s somewhat hard to pin-point exactly what she meant because I don’t know the specific context/situation in which it was said.

  3. Guapo means handsome or good looking. O means or. When saying you are “asi-asi” Its means you are feeling “ok.” So, my guess is she was asking am I ok looking or very pretty. Thats just the basic translation. Mas means much.

  4. It’s exactly like you said it, “Like that…..or more handsome?”

They were probably trying to describe a guy by comparing his looks to someone in the restaurant. Or they could have been checkin out the guys to decide which ones they like. Or they could have been giving examples of their standards. I dunno, depends on what was said before.

    Hope this helps!
