Rahul’s Presence of Mind
Rahul was alone at home. Suddenly the phone rang. He hesitated for a moment but then picked up the receiver. Though he said ‘Hello’, there was no response from the other side. He repeated ‘Hello’ but still no one replied from the other end. The phone rang again but this time somebody asked if his father was at home. When Rahul asked who was calling, the caller refused to identify himself and kept on asking his parents’ whereabouts. When Rahul refused to answer, the line was disconnected.
After some time, the doorbell rang. As Rahul peeped through the key hole, he found a tall man with a beard outside the door. Rahul got scared and quickly ran towards the phone and called up his father’s friend who lived in their colony and told him about the incident. His uncle asked him not to worry as he would reach soon. He quickly collected some other men from the neighbourhood, and with his pet dog, reached Rahul’s home. The tall man was looking for a way to get into the house when Rahul’s uncle’s dog held his leg with its teeth. The man panicked and tried to run away but was overpowered by all the men.
Soon, the police reached Rahul’s home and his parents also returned and thanked the neighbours. Everyone praised Rahul’s presence of mind which saved his life.
A Childhood Saved
It had been over two hours waiting for the train. Ruhi was getting restless. Suddenly she noticed a child begging at the platform. He appeared to be a little, sweet boy who had a small bag on his shoulder. She noticed a book in his bag.
Ruhi was eager to know where the child lived. There was still more than an hour left for her train to arrive. So, she got up and started following him. The boy moved out of the station and entered a slum nearby. He got into a house which appeared to be a very dirty and unhygienic place. There were other child beggars in the house who were in the age group of 5 — 12 years. They were thin and weak. They had money but nothing to eat. Just then, a burly man entered the house. The children became quiet. He asked them for the money that they had collected by begging. The poor children handed all the money they had to him.
Ruhi understood that it was a racket of child beggars. She felt pity for those small children. She decided to inform the police. The police and an NGO ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ soon reached the place. The man was perplexed on seeing the police. The police arrested him and the children were sent under the protection of the NGO from where they would be sent to their homes. Ruhi felt relieved and was appreciated by everyone. She was later rewarded by the government for her effort in rescuing the children.
Real Hero Comes Back
The moment Hari stepped down from the train he was greeted at the platform by the people of his small town. They had gathered there with garlands and a band, because a real patriot, retired army man regardless his salary, family and his own life had appeared back after one and half year.
It started long back that China attacked India and through a newspaper Hari came to know that there was a great shortage of manpower in the Indian Army. At the very moment he determined to devote himself for the sake of the country by fulfilling the demand of manpower. Though the marriage function of his daughter was going on, he did not care as he was regardless of everything in front of his country. As expected India won over China and by a collective effort of real heroes like Hari. India once more touched the horizon success and the dawn of relief was ours.
People also understood that if we are breathing in a free country it is because of the sacrifice and the devotion of people like Hari. It was raining but people enjoyed it with a real hero and considered the rain a pious sign.
Getting Lost
It was a beautiful Sunday, so we decided to go on a picnic to the mountain. Unfortunately, we got lost on our way to the mountain. We were looking for the direction to get to the mountain when we accidentally saw a rundown house, after which we made up our mind to ask people in that house for help. As soon as we stood in front of the house, we realised that it seemed to be a derelict one which meant there wouldn’t be anyone living in it. After that, the main door was gradually opened and we just thought that it was the wind that made the door open. However, when going into the house, we were threatened by a ghost holding a sharp knife, so scared was I that I shut my eyes and loudly shouted. “Who’s that” said a man, I then opened my eyes and realised that people in that house were acting for a horror movie. We turned out to be very fortunate as we met a very famous actor who led the role of the ghost in the movie. My friends and I then had a chance to take a picture with an actor and we also had his signature. That was such an unforgettable day towards us.
Grow tail
When Amit woke up in the morning and looked at his face in the mirror, he saw so many shiny things appear on it that he can’t even take them off.
After that, another strange situation occurred to Amit as he went to the restroom to wash his face. In his bathtub, there’s a palace for mermaids living in it. Amit approached and stuck his hand inside since he was so curious. All of a sudden, he was sucked straight into the bathtub with a very strong force.
When Amit eventually came to, he realized he had been breathing underwater. His legs vanished, and replaced it with a soft blue fish tail. Amit turned into a mermaid in his own surprise. Not long after getting used to it, a giant shark swam back very quickly towards him, opening its mouth wide to eat him, its mouth was so horrible that Amit could see blood on its tongue. The swimming monster lurched in front of him. Meanwhile, Amit still unable to control his new body, he struggled in the water for a long time. The shark couldn’t wait long, it came and bit him in the middle. Amit screamed so loud.
“HELP!”
Amit opened his eyes wide and looked straight up to the ceiling. Turns out it was all a dream, which Amit remembered forever.
We are all happy to come back home again
Have you ever had a job protecting the world? Joon, Tae, and Mody are part of our team, a group of four people with environmental intentions named GREEN. Our next task will go to the forest to collect vital data on the Red Book’s species.
We chose the Sweed Forest, which has everything the group needs. Everyone worked hard that day to get ready for this trip, we packed a ton of supplies since we anticipated it would be dangerous. The first part went quite smoothly, I assist them with side jobs while Joon and Tae do their searches and Mody record them.
For a long time, we struggled in a location far from where we started. The wind rose, it became dark, and the temperature decreased. Unexpectedly, a tiger jumped out of its den, he approached us after a tremendous roar.
“Guys, turn your faces to it, and back as slowly as you can!” said Joon.
Using his knowledge, Joon instructed us to deal with the tiger. Everyone trembled, no one dared ignore it. Another tiger appeared, smaller than this one. Two of them approaching each other, this big tiger is his mother. Fortunately, we were safe until the end.
In overall, we all agree that this trip was fantastic, not just because of the success of the mission, but also because we are all happy to come back home again.
The bag
Jane was in her room and watched some movies she liked. Shortly afterwards, the phone rang, she hang up. It was Jonny, who was her best friend.
“Hey Jane, I’m a bit of free so what’s about going out? I’ve heard that there’s a parade on the road. Should you take upon, I’ll pick you up.” said Jonny.
Jane quickly answered:” Yes, for now?”
“Certainly. I am going to drive to your house now”. Said Jonny with exciting voice.
Jane and Jonny was watching parade in the street after hours in the shopping centre. Suddenly, Jane exclaimed: ” I don’t see my bag anywhere”. They were really confused and Jonny casted doubt on the restaurant where they had eaten thirty minutes ago. They drove back. Unfortunately, both Jane and Jonny were bitterly depressed when they heard the staff said there was no bag there so they left the restaurant in bad mood.
After 3 hours finding the bag, so hopeless was Jane that she gave up, she heavily made up her mind to go home. Just at the moment she opened the door, Jane was out of blue. Her bag was on the table in the living, her process was still in that Jane thought that she was unexpected. Meanwhile, her mother appeared. ” How lucky you’re. Your uncle Andy saw it but he couldn’t call you back so he brought it to me.”. Jane relieved and Jonny knew that later that day. They shouldn’t have been so careless. And they never did that again.
April fool’s day
It was 6:30 in the rainy morning and she didn’t want to get out of bed. Thunder roared like lions and started a shower of heavy rainfall from the sky. The drops of the rain looked like tiny crystals.
She decided to do her assignment in that cozy bed. Suddenly, she heard a weird noise on the 1st floor and she ignored it. A minute later, there was a miserable scream. She immediately ran down the stairs. A terrible scene had just happened in front of her eyes. Her mother and sister were killed by the murderer which was too shocked for her to shout. No sooner had she ran than the killer followed after. She locked the door and hidden into the blanket to be calm down. After she had called the police, the murderer knocked on the door. The weather was more and more severe which made that time more horrible. The murderer opened the door then got closer to her. “Please don’t kill me” cried her. “Sorry because I had made you cry “said the killer. She realized that was her father. She had forgotten that was April fools day.
Their family was both happy and scary. The most complicated thing was they had to explain to the police in a long time.”
