How to fix ”Cabinet is not valid’ on .exe file?

I have this .exe file I want to open but when I click on it a window comes up saying ‘Cabinet is not valid.” I press OK and another window comes up saying “Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted Cabinet file.” Can someone please tell me how to fix this.

  1. Run this http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/ to clear your temp files (that’s where swap files are temporarily stored) and try again.

If it doesn’t work, the cab file is corrupted so you need to re-download or get another copy of the program/application.☺

  2. If you are looking for a good program to open zipped files (compressed files) the best solution is WinRar.

If you want to download Winrar you can download it here for free http://bitly.com/1p3PS2t

    Hope it helps.
